Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President and Chief Organiser, Maryam Nawaz, announced on Wednesday that her party is fully prepared to contest the upcoming general elections in Pakistan. Addressing a public gathering at Kasur, she said that the elections will be held at a suitable time.

Maryam Nawaz criticized the policies of PTI Chief Imran Khan, stating that PML-N leaders and workers faced hard times during PTI tenure. However, she said that the workers of her party are not afraid of any victimization. She further stated that the country’s judiciary is not a “joyland,” where decisions are made to entertain wives and children, rather it is a place of justice.

Maryam went on to criticize Imran Khan’s actions, stating that more people are standing in queues to get justice than those standing in the lines to get flour. She also expressed her concerns about the courts taking suo motu notice on the words of Imran Khan, referring to him as a “madman.” She warned Umar Ata Bandial sahab, a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, not to follow Imran Khan’s path, as he has used every facilitator and later turned on them.

Maryam Nawaz also questioned why the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) only took notice of matters concerning the Constitution when Imran talked about them. She stated that the country’s situation would not have deteriorated to this extent if the CJP had “punished” Imran for violating the Constitution at the time of the no-confidence vote. She further added that the nation is asking why someone who committed such a serious crime was let go scot-free.

In conclusion, Maryam Nawaz’s criticism of Imran Khan’s policies and judiciary has sparked a heated debate in the country’s political arena. It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in the coming days, with the general elections drawing near.
