The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the Tata Group will be the title sponsor for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 16 season. This marks the second consecutive year that the Tata Group will be the title sponsor for the IPL, with the 2022 edition also being called “TATA IPL 2022”.

The IPL is a T20 cricket league that was established by the BCCI in 2008, and has since become one of the most popular T20 leagues in the world. The league features eight teams representing various Indian cities, and is known for its star-studded line-ups and high-octane matches.

The 2023 edition of the IPL, commonly referred to as IPL 16, is set to begin in April 2023 and will run for approximately two months. With the Tata Group once again serving as title sponsor, the league is being called “TATA IPL 2023”.

IPL 2023 Teams

IPL 2023 will feature a total of 10 teams. The two new teams that were added to the tournament in 2022, the Ahmedabad Rockets and Lucknow Super Giants, will be a part of the tournament for the second time. The remaining eight teams are the Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and the defending champions, Gujarat Titans.
